This suspension impacts a significant weapons package for Taiwan that has been reportedly waiting for approval for months. The ultimate decision on this matter will rest with key figures in the administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Despite the delay, Taiwan’s presidential office has stated that no official notification has been received regarding any changes to the proposed arms deal.
