Oman and the United States are exploring avenues to enhance their economic and investment relationship. Recent discussions have centered on expanding trade, increasing support for Omani exports, and attracting American investment into Oman. These talks took place during a visit by representatives of the Oman Trade Office in the United States, who met with Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Oman’s Minister of Economy, to review achievements and outline future strategies.

The meeting highlighted several critical areas of focus, including improving access for Omani products in the U.S. market and identifying opportunities for expanding bilateral trade. This engagement aims to develop new spheres of trade cooperation, further solidifying the economic ties between the two nations.

As of the end of July 2026, trade between Oman and the United States had reached approximately OMR 555.26 million. The trade relationship is marked by Omani exports of chemicals and aluminium, while the U.S. primarily exports vehicles and transport equipment to Oman.

The ongoing dialogue underscores a mutual interest in bolstering economic ties, with both countries seeking to maximize the benefits of their trade partnership. By addressing challenges and identifying new opportunities, Oman and the United States aim to create a more robust and diversified economic linkage.
